Rumour: Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie May BeFirst Google OS Release in 2013

Android is never going to stop on its onset revolution in the mobile OS platform battle. For 2012, Google released Android
4.1 and 4.2 Jellybean as their latest firmware version and next year, Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie will set foot before Jellybean could ever complete one cycle.
Manu Cornet, a Google employee, confirmed the new Android version's name
and showed the image of Android evolution since its first very stable release. The image demonstrates the ever changing progress of the OS platform from a slow Android holding a gingerbread then
honeycomb as it continues to feel livelier with an ice cream sandwich, jellybean, and the key lime pie.

The new Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie is speculated to be released by May 2013 and one of the first smartphone manufacture
to have it is LG. Reports said that LG is currently working with the Optimus G2
and it will run with Key Lime Pie due for release on May 2013 as well.

LG Optimus G2 is rumored to have the following specifications:

5-inch Full HD LCD with 440ppi pixel density

2.0GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Prime CPU

4G LTE ready

Camera with backlight prevention technology

Spectators are hopeful for the new Android firmware version to have new additions and better improvements this time.

1. Performance Profiles: optional sets of profiles if a user wants to maximise performance over power, low-power state during sleep times, and super-low backlight for reading uses.

2. Multiple device support improvements:
some users have multiple Android devices which mean certain apps must be synced
to each other if data files are from the Play Store. An example would be Videos app, hopefully, once a user watched the film
from the phone, it can be continued midway when that user decided to view it in a tablet.

3. Enhancement to Social Networks:
Google's main social platform is the Google+ which continues to grow.
However, it is not the only social network out there, Facebook and Twitter
dominates the Internet and millions of users always log in everyday. Android does
not have an integrated app that acts as a main hub for social media. Sony and LG
should make these social networks integrated in their units.

4. Video chat: the Android hasn't yet come
up with a video chat app either
interconnecting with other platforms or exclusive to Android users only. Apple and
Microsoft have apps which functions as their own video chat app.
Hopefully, the Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie would makes a better integrating apps and add up more features which are not
yet seen in any of its previous versions
which will improve the basic phone functions and will be useful in everyday life.

By the way, key lime pie is an American dessert made of key lime, juice, egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk in a pie crust. Here's a look at how the real key lime pie (not the Android version) looks
like and how it is prepared.
